The Bridgeport JV's used a 126 yard rushing performance from Braeden Oldaker and a blocked punt from Caleb Friel in a 30-16 win over North Marion on Monday night.
The Indians took an 8-0 lead on a two yard touchdown plunge from Carson Winkie with 5:21 remaining in the first quarter.
The Huskies would respond on a touchdown pass from Tim Murphy to tie the score at halftime.
Friel, would set the Indians up with good field position following a block of a North Marion punt in the middle of the third quarter.
Josh Wojciechowicz would cash in with a 1 yard TD dive with 5:13 to play. North Marion would respond and tie the score at 16 on the following drive.
The Indians would answer, Devin Vandergrift raced for 56 yards to the Husky 2 and Oldaker would score on the next play to give the Indians a 22-16 lead.
The defense held and the Indians would kill the remaining clock with a 11 play 47 yard drive capped by Oldaker's second touchdown of the half. Vandergrift found Austin Gibson for the two point conversion as the Indians won 30-16.
Defensively, Tyler Wilson, Micah Swann, and Blayne Werstler all recorded quarterback sacks and Jacob Isner had the hit of the night on a special teams tackle.
The Indians will host Elkins next Monday night before closing out the JV season at Preston.
