The Bridgeport junior varsity used a 153 yard rushing and two touchdown performance from sophomore Zach Rohrig and a staunch defensive effort in a 22-0 road win over Fairmont Senior.
The teams exchanged punts after time killing drives on the opening possessions of the game before the Indians marched 42 yards in nine plays as Rohrig scored from three yards out for the games first score with 9:52 to start the second quarter.
Following a Senior punt, Bridgeport would move the ball 36 yards with time running out before half. The drive would end when Aidan Agre-Baun was intercepted on the final play of the second quarter.
The Polar Bears opening drive of the third quarter resulted in a turnover when Parker Vincent sacked Gavin Michael forcing a fumble that was recovered by Jack Dotson.
Rohrig would rip off a 30 yard carry leading to a 4 yard wing around touchdown run by Agre-Baun and Rohrig would add the two point conversion.
Fairmont was kept off the board in the fourth quarter in part to a Cale Culicerto interception of Michael. Rohrig and the Indians would seal the win on a 23 yard touchdown run with 1:19 left. Grant Lively would add the two point conversion for the 22-0 win.
